Call for Papers
The aim of the workshop “Sensor Web for Environmental Research” is to bring together researchers and practitioners in the field of Sensor Web for Environmental Research. The objectives are to get an overview of current Sensor Web technologies applications in practice and to discuss shortcomings and research challenges, such as dealing with uncertainties, incorporating quality information or automation of analysis of data published in the Sensor Web.In particular, we consider submissions on the following Sensor Web related topics:
- Sensor Web Applications for Environmental Research
- Uncertainty Management
- Data Quality Assessment and Representation
- Discovery of Sensors and Observations
- Processing of Sensor Data
- Event-based Approaches
- Visualization concepts for the Sensor Web
- Linked Sensor Data
- Semantic Annotation of Sensors and Observations
- Integration of Remote Sensing and In-Situ Data
- Security Issues
- Novel application areas (Citizen Science, Internet of Things)
The workshop will be held as full-day event. Presenters are asked to submit extended abstracts (1000-3000 words) in advance, which will be reviewed and selected based on scientific quality and relevance regarding the topic of the workshop by a scientific committee.
There will also be a demonstration session, where participants can demonstrate their applications. Demonstrators are asked to submit an abstract (up to 1000 words) describing their application.
