Partners from across Europe gathered for the ENFORCE* General Assembly (GA) from October 8th to 10th, 2025. The event was hosted at the University of Crete’s Natural History Museum in Heraklion, Crete.
The in-person meeting provided a valuable opportunity for participants to exchange ideas, present progress updates, and collaboratively plan future activities. The event kicked off with a stakeholder session dedicated to identifying the primary users of the ENFORCE services. Over the three days, the agenda balanced plenary sessions and workshops with social and networking events. A highlight was the demonstration of the Themis App by our partner from the University of Crete. Crete is home of the project’s case study 3 and is the perfect location to showcase the app, which enables citizens to report environmental offenses.
Benjamin Pross led the discussion on Work Package 3 – Plaza Tools Development. He reviewed the current status of the data collection tools with our partners and planned next steps for data processing and visualization.

Together, they answered any remaining questions and created a plan for the months leading up to the first project reporting period, which starts in February 2026.
All attendees agreed that the project made good progress during its first year, and they are eager to take on the challenges of the second year. Everyone enjoyed the opportunity to chat with project partners during coffee breaks or at dinner. We all look forward to meeting in Barcelona for the next in-person GA and learning firsthand about the Barcelona case study.
