Students tackle challenge to create EO infrastructure on AWS.

52°North’s managing director Prof. Dr. Albert Remke supervised students of the Institute for Geoinformatics (University of Münster) on a project to build an Earth Observation Infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS) that would support disaster management for flooding in Europe. He describes the seminar goals, use case, general approach and results in an interview with AWS .

In addition to his work at 52°North, Remke teaches and heads the research working group: Open Lab on Spatial Information Infrastructures at ifgi.
