The OGC Sensor Observation Service (SOS) is our choice when it comes to standardized interfaces for sensor data access on the web. But what if you already have an (online) database with sensor data, don’t want to get rid of it, and still use the powerful and standard conform 52°North SOS? A short presentation gives you a quick entry to that topic by introducing patterns for both of the currently maintained SOS versions (stable 3.5.x and the upcoming 4.0.0). The slides target both managers and developers and present the abstract ideas, as well as, the entry points into the source code and example implementations.
