I’m happy to announce that we got three new articles accepted for publication:
- Diaz, L., A. Bröring, D. McInerney, G. Liberta & T. Foerster (2013, accepted): Publishing Sensor Observations into Geospatial Information Infrastructures: A Use Case in Fire Danger Assessment. Environmental Modelling & Software. [paper]
In this article, an approach is presented to improve the registration of sensors and the publication of their observations via the Web Processing Service (WPS) and the Sensor Observation Service (SOS) interface. Therefore, those services are combined with our Sensor Interface Descriptor (SID) concept. The approach is evaluated by applying the developed approach to the example of integrating in-situ weather observations into the European Forest Fire Information System (EFFIS) for assessing fire danger in Spain.
