This is it – the last blog post of my Google Summer of Code project. After months of coding, debugging, and even more coffee, I have finally finished migrating Kommonitor components from AngularJS to Angular. What an exciting journey it has been! At first, I was scared that the task ahead of me was too big to handle, but my outstanding mentors Christian and Sebastian were there to help and show me the ropes. Their guidance allowed me to complete this mission successfully and now the application is a hybrid one. These changes will guarantee KomMonitor’s enduring success for years to come. Here is how I migrated KomMonitor to Angular and what I learned in the process.
Harmonizing Marine Observation Data + Open Reproducible Research
Harmonizing the sharing of marine observation data considering data quality information (oral)
MINKE, an EU project funded within the framework of the H2020 (GA nº 101008724.), is about integrating key European Marine Metrology Research Infrastructures to coordinate their use and development and propose an innovative framework for oceanographic data quality. Alright? No? I struggled in the beginning too, so let’s start with an example.
First KomMonitor Community Day
KomMonitor users and developers met and discussed
More and more municipalities and district administrations in North Rhine-Westphalia are introducing the open source product KomMonitor as a spatial observation tool. With the first Community Day, Bochum University of Applied Sciences and 52°North cordially invited users and developers to exchange ideas with KomMonitor in a relaxed atmosphere.
