This year’s FOSS4G Europe took me to Timișoara, the largest city in western Romania. The event was hosted by the West University of Timișoara (Universitatea de Vest din Timișoara).
I travelled there for 52°North to listen, to talk to people, and to present “Optimizing Resource Usage of Interoperable Geospatial Processing Infrastructures with Kubernetes.”

52°North attended the yearly MuDak-WRM workshop from January 29 – 31, 2019 and the subsequent field campaign from February 3 – 7, 2019 in Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil.
The Sensor Web community announces a new version of the SOS (Sensor Observation Service) Importer . It is a tool for importing observations from CSV (Character Separated Values) files to a SOS instance. An eight step wizard guides a user through the often cumbersome process of data transformation.
During the devlopment of the RESTful Binding Extension, a requirement arose for deleting single observations. To solve this, I developed the DeleteObservation extension oriented at the DeleteSensor operation.
You can delete only observations, that have a gml:identifier element. The current implementation is available via the following bindings:
