In the past weeks 52°North has updated the licenses of two projects to facilitate their usage by switching over to a non-copyleft license. The project 52n-commons-xml was switched completely to the Apache Software License Version 2.0. The internal API and dependent code from the 52°North WPS project was also moved to the Apache 2.0 license. The implementation of this API, however remains under GPL v2. We hope this will allow more users to integrate our work into their architectures and source code projects. Below is a short description of why and how we did this.more >
In March a Space-and-Time Workshop will take place at the EDC Institute for Geoinformatics (ifgi). Sensor observation data is heavily space and time-related, and the integration of such data in existing tools will cover one part of the discussions for sure.
However, as the IfGI already updated ArcGIS, it was the perfect opportunity to update the adapter to support ArcGIS 10. This also included some (minor) bugfixes, but also to use the current ArcHydro tools (v18.104.22.168) as well. Please use and test the new version of the SOS Adapter, so that I can fix bugs as early as possible.
UPDATE: During the tests with the 52°North demo SOS which has several procedures covered in one offering, it became apparant that only one procedure was listed within the timeseries info table. I fixed this bug but did not want to make another version, so be sure have downloaded the latest version by comparing the creation date of the zip.
Due to heavy re-factoring and change in the architectural concept of the VOD this site describes the current status of development. However, how-to and installation description are still lacking, but will follow as soon as possible.
